The Netra 120 server is the NEBS certified DC version of the Sun Fire V120 server, and is a high-density, rack-optimized thin server designed with ruggedized packaging for environments where service availability is critical. Featuring NEBS Level 3 certification, a 650-MHz UltraSPARC IIi processor, 512 KB of Level 2 cache, up to 4 GB of memory, and up to two 73-GB hard drives, the Netra 120 server is a complete, easily-managed system that utilizes the robust SPARC/Solaris architecture. Along with SCSI, PCI, and network connectivity in a 1U form factor package, the Netra 120 server provides rack-optimized features such as Lights Out Management (LOM) software, front-and-back LEDs, and hot-swappable hard drives for easy administration.

Introduced in June of 2003, the Sun Fire V210 server features up to two 1.34 GHz UltraSPARC IIIi processors, four built-in Gigabit Ethernet ports, a system configuration card, advanced remote management, and an optional integrated SSL card, all in a feature-rich, ultra-dense, rack-optimized package. In January of 2006 Sun introduced a RoHS version of the Sun Fire V210 server, and in September of 2007 the V210 was EOL'd (end-of-lifed). The Sun Fire V210 was replaced by the Sun Fire V215 server. Sun Fire V210 Server


Introduced in April of 2006, the Netra 210 is NEBS compliant version of the Sun Fire V210 server, and is a high-performance entry-level server that can handle rough environments. The smallest of the Netra servers at the time of its introduction, the Netra 210 measures 1U (1.75-inches) and packs one or two 1.34 GHz UltraSPARC IIIi processors, takes up to 8 GB RAM, and uses 15K Ultra-320 disk drives. The Netra 210 allows for economical growth, whether it is1U at a time, or even one processor at a time. Additionally, the DC version is NEBS level 3 certified, and the AC version is NEBS compliant; both versions are ETSI compliant. The Netra 210 was only produced in a RoHS compliant version. Introduced in September of 2004, the Sun Netra is the carrier grade version of the popular Sun Fire V440. Like the V440, it is a flexible platform for delivering low-cost, horizontally-scalable services and solutions. Though comparable in most ways to the Sun Fire V440, there are some differences, notably the height of the server (5U instead of 4U), only two CPU speeds available – 1.28 and 1.593 GHz UltraSPARC IIIi processors, four 400 WATT AC or DC power supplies (instead of two 650 WATT power supplies), and the use of 15K RPM Ultra320 disk drives. Other specifications for both systems are the same, with the Netra 440 capable of having up to 32 GB of memory, six PCI slots, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, identity transfer feature, and remote server management capability. The Netra 440 server was introduced in a RoHS version in May of 2006, and was EOL'd (end-of-lifed) in November of 2008. There is no direct replacement for the Netra 440 server.
